The opportunity
Soundcloud is the world’s largest music and audio platform. We were tasked with implementing a new feature for their app.
Soundcloud wanted to reinvigorate their users by adding some possible new features to get listeners back on their platform and get creators passionate about posting content again.
What we did
In our UX design project for SoundCloud, we followed the double diamond design process to add exciting new features for users and artists. To start, we conducted SWOT, CNC analysis, and user interviews to discover user needs and preferences.
With this information, we created user personas, problem statements, and how might we statements to define the project's scope. For ideation, we prioritized features using a feature prioritization matrix. Moving into the development phase, we engaged in design studios, creating hand sketches, low-fidelity wireframes, and polished mockups.
Finally, we compiled all our assets, research insights, and testing stats to present to our client.
The outcome
We created a platform for music artists to live stream performances and engage their fanbase in real-time, allowing fans to comment, subscribe, and donate funds to their favorite artists.
